We hope that you find what your looking for, if not please use the navigation bar to locate your page.

Our new blog post

We will begin with POSTS, upon opening this page we are given a rundown of all the existing blogs present on this page, as well as the ability to add or delete them.

As can be seen I have created a bunch of placeholder blogs to show how the blog page will look when it is full of posts.

To delete any of them we can simply hover over the post and select the trash option. If I delete the post FEATURED 3 we can see that it will no longer show up in the LATEST POSTS section as well as in the banner that only displays featured posts, of which we will go into further detail later.

To create a new post we can click the add new near the top of the screen,

Now we will be prompted to add a title, this is the element that will display on the top of each blog post. Lets call it ‘Creating a new blog post’.

Following this we have the main content of the blog in this section we can add images as well as style our text with different header tags. The preferred header tag is H2, as it best fits the design of the page. I will insert some content into this section right now.

We may also add additional images to this section with the add media button, once this has opened we can upload a photo we would like to use or select an existing image from the media library.

After this we have three more options to add content, Author’s name which states who wrote this text. A description which will be one to two sentences about what is inside our page, and lastly an image of our author.

We have almost completed creating a blog now we just need to add the tags and categories.

The blog page will hook unto articles using these parameters, so it is important to set them. For instance if we want our article to be featured we need to select the featured category by selecting this option. Our blog will now show up on the top banner.

Let’s take a look at the blog we just created to make sure everything works as intended. And this will conclude the blog creation progress.
